Achieving Construction Efficiency Using PSB® Punching Reinforcement System.
The highway intersection in Kirismäki is part of the improvement project of E18 Turku Ring Road.
Construction for the intersection included pile supported embankment slabs which are reinforced against punching failure with Peikko's ETA assessed PSB® Punching Reinforcement system.
Prefabricated double-headed stud rails make flat slab construction possible. Construction time was reduced compared to traditional pile supported mushroom shaped slabs.
